Our Engagement Party

Sitting down to write this I can’t help but feel a bit giddy and honestly, laugh at little, thinking back to our engagement party. I know I’m partial, but gosh, it was so magical. Weeks and weeks of planning turned into the most perfect evening filled with lots of friends and family, food, cocktails, and of course dancing! LOTS of dancing.

With it being COVID SZN, we wanted to make sure our elders felt like they could come to celebrate with us but also feel comfortable as possible being in a public place. A few precautions we made was setting up an area that was reserved for elders/grandparents. This reserved area was a table and couch that had the least amount of foot traffic so it was away from the food tables and bar. We also included individual tongs in each of the silverware packets so there were fewer germs floating around on utensils while everyone was fixing their plates. We also provided disposable gloves and hand-sanitizer.

We were aiming for a classy yet simple and laid-back atmosphere and after it was all said and done, I think we nailed it. Our engagement party definitely would not have been a success without the help of my parents (THANK YOU!!).
