A Quick Daytrip to Turner Falls Park

It was the perfect spring day for a trip to Turner Falls Park in Davis, Oklahoma. This park is certainly one of Oklahoma’s best kept secrets.

Turner Falls Park is 1500 acres of spring-fed creeks, hiking trails, caves, and home of Oklahoma’s tallest waterfall. There’s also ruins of a castle that you can explore. If you’re up for an adrenaline rush, check out the 777 Zipline that stretches over the creek in the heart of the park! The hiking trail is approximately a 3.5mile loop and is a mix of paved and off-road trail. The trail is mostly an easy walk but there are bits where you have to climb up and down the sides of boulders.

You can make it a weekend staycation or just go for they day. Turner Falls Park offers places to lodge - bring your tent, RV/camper or rent one of their cabins plus they have plenty of spots to picnic. You can even lounge out and catch some sun in the spring-fed creek that sprawls the length of the property. If you can’t get away for an overnight stay, a daytrip is definitely worth the drive.

You can find more information on lodging and visiting Turner Falls Park on their website, www.turnerfallspark.com.
